"Night Views" - The Mannheim Water Tower
Exceptional light situations cannot be found – they find themselves.
The
Mannheim Water Tower is one of those buildings whose nocturnal beauty
is particularly fascinating. This is why I considered it for my series
"Night Views". |

Wide angle compositionAs photographer your task is to frame a scene in a personal way and
transmit an expression to the viewer. It is not a matter of catching
what you see, but what you feel. |

Photo volume "Ireland – trips to a fabulous coast":I wanted to convey the mysticism
and transcendence of Irish coastal landscapes, as well as the history
and the character of a unique habitat and natural region. To do so, I
chose the medium of aesthetic over-accentuation, frequently by
capturing extreme light moods. |

"Tropical Arcadia – the New People" Why new
people? A utopian interpretation of a tropical Arcadia? The idea of the Brazilian sociologist Gilberto Freyre that, due to the merging of many peoples (African, Indian, European and in the last century Asian), an ethnic mixture has evolved in Brazil which has led to the formation of a new tropical civilisation, fascinated and inspired me enormously. His "O novo Homem" was what prompted my photo project "The New People", my vision of Brazil. |
